Tennessee Immigrant and Minority Business Group


Tennessee has one of the fastest growing immigrant communities in the United States and Nashville has earned the title of an “Ellis Island” as a result. Immigrants from around the world are creating businesses and jobs, making notable contributions to social and economic development.

Mission of the organization. Establish a forum for the promotion of communication and interaction among immigrant and minority business owners. Working together, we can address common issues and further the interests of all.

Agenda: Convene monthly seminar meetings enabling immigrant business owners to market their services and products as well as to conduct discussion of topics of general interest to the immigrant and minority business community.

Membership of TIMBG is open to ALL business entrepreneurs.

Inaugural TIMBG meeting agenda:

6:30 – 7:00pm: Registration and social.

7:00 – 7:10pm: Opening remarks, Ming Wang, Galen Hull.

7:10 – 7:30pm: “The landscape of immigrant and minority businesses in middle Tennessee”:

Dr. Galen Hull.

7:30 – 8:00pm: About TIMBG (Ming Wang, Galen Hull), and free discussion.

8:00pm: Adjourn.
