Co-founded in 2013 by Dr. Ming Wang, MD, PhD and Dr. Galen Hull, TIMBG promotes communication and interaction among immigrant and minority business owners through a monthly seminar to enable immigrant business owners to market their services and products as well as to conduct discussion of topics of general interest. Membership in TIMBG is open to BOTH immigrants and minority businesses as well as those who are interested in interacting with immigrants and minority businesses.
About the Host:
Tony Roberts serves as host of this fourth meeting of the Tennessee Immigrant and Minority Business Group (TIMBG) of which he is a founding member. He currently works with Reliant Realty on Trousdale Drive in Nashville, specializing in residential and commercial real estate. He is a member of the Eastern Middle Tennessee Association of Realtors and is active in numerous civic organizations. He is a member of the Noon Rotary of Mt. Juliet, Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Arts Alliance of Wilson County, the Chamber of Commerce of West Wilson County, the Tennessee Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the City Club of Nashville. He is also active in Republican politics, having served as Chair of the Tennessee Republican Minority Coalition, Vice Chair of the Davidson County Republican Party, and Chair of the Conservative Groups of Middle Tennessee. Tony majored in Architectural Management at the University of Tennessee (Knoxville) where he served on the dean's advisory committee, was a member of the gymnastics team and the University of Tennessee Singers. Tony received his Bachelor of Architecture, Bachelor of Science, and a Masters in Business Administration from UT Knoxville with a concentration in Human Resource Management.
