Walk in Their Shoes

At the Sexual Assault Center, we are committed to supporting those affected by sexual assault and to ending sexual violence in our community. We invite you to join us.

Our mission is to provide healing for children, adults and families affected by sexual assault and to end sexual violence through counseling, education and advocacy.

The Sexual Assault Center (S.A.C.) is the only place in Middle Tennessee that is exclusively dedicated to providing counseling to child and adult sexual assault victims. Our therapists are specialists in the field and have worked with more than 20,000+ survivors since we opened our doors in 1978. Through treatment, our clients are able to find healing and hope and begin to live healthy, productive lives.

In addition to counseling, we are dedicated to providing prevention education for our community. Our school based programs reach more than 150,000 elementary, middle and high school students. We are actively involved in college communities across Middle Tennessee. We also have a advocacy department to provide assistance, information and referrals regarding the criminal justice system and community resources.

For the last 15 years, we have invited our community to come together to create awareness, raise funds and support survivors of sexual violence. This year, we are teaming up with Prevent Child Alliance Tennessee (PCAT) to create an even bigger event packed full of family friendly fun!
